Regular Bollywood faces Deepti Naval, Soha Ali Khan, Mini Mathur and Konkana Sen Sharma were all in Delhi to attend the show by designer Sanjay Garg of the Raw Mango brand at the Spring-Summer edition of Amazon India Fashion Week 2016. The designer did what he does best- bridge the gap between textile and fashion when he opened the Spring-Summer edition of Amazon India.
Check out what the celebs were wearing and whether you think they are runway potential.
Konkana Sen sizzled in an autumnal inspired saree. The bright green really brought a dash of seasonal colour to her outfit. She accessorized with a flower –wrap around bracelet, aviator sunglasses and brown crossover bag (no doubt to keep all her essentials in).
Mini Mathur opted for a grey, black and white look. She chose a black and white striped crop top wrapped under a grey shawl-like saree. No doubt she kept warm throughout the show. She accessorised with a white and gold plated belt and a gold-chained clutch.
Soha Ali Khan brought a touch of pink in her spring/summer inspired outfit. She wore a plain pink fitted floaty dress and accesorised it with the same colour silk duppata that had gold intricate stitching. She accessorised with a nude coloured bag and gold sandals. She kept it chic and classy.
During Sanjay Garg’s show, rich golden sheen kurtas with lightly embroidered dupattas formed the majority of the collection, in vivid hues of rani pink, emerald green, sapphire, royal blue and black with golden work.
The use of plain fabric to enhance the impact of the garment was a trend continued from his previous winter/festive 2014 show, while the silhouettes were more deconstructed than before.
Garg gave us a tunic that’s flowy and metallic and we love it.
The cropped pants are the perfect match to this tunic top and we think it’ll make any woman feel gorgeous and sexy. The polka dot adds wow factor to this look to make you instantly feel more glamorous.
Sanjay Garg definitely saved the best for last. The showstopper was dressed in the most delicate and feminine lehenga that embodied the balance between urban living and rural roots. This pale pink outfit is perfect for formal events or weddings.
