Just after ‘Commando 2: The Black Money Trail’ hit theatres and emerged a success at the box office this year, the makers announced the third part. Although the script for the third instalment was not ready at that time, they had ensured that it won’t take much time between part two and part three.
Now, the latest buzz in the industry is that ‘Commando 3’ is all set to go on floors in January next year. Vidyut Jammwal will take the franchise ahead with Adah Sharma once again. Sharma who was seen in ‘Commando 2’ as Inspector Bhavna Reddy and as a love interest of Jammwal, will be reprising the same character in ‘Commando 3’ as well. However, this time the story will be set in London instead of Malaysia where the last instalment was unfolded.
Besides the location, the director for ‘Commando 3’ has also been changed. Filmmaker Aditya Datt who has earlier directed films like ‘Table No. 21’ (2013), ‘Will You Marry Me?’ (2012), ‘Good Luck’ (2008) and ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ (2005) has come on board to helm this project under the banner of producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sunshine Pictures. ‘Commando 2’ was directed by Deven Bhojani while ‘Commando: A One Man Army’ was helmed by Dilip Ghosh.
‘Commando’ franchise is known for its exceptional action stunts and the third instalment, we heard, is expected to take the action to another level altogether. ‘Commando 3’ will have spectacular action and will raise the bar in action.
“When we did ‘Commando 2′, I had a great responsibility on my shoulders to create the action sequences that were not similar to the first part… I choreographed everything from a different perspective. So whatever, we will do… has to raise the bar in action for sure,” Jammwal had told the media a few months ago.
