It’s golden days for Varun Dhawan whose latest release ‘Judwaa 2’ has become his career’s biggest hit and is on its way to emerge the biggest hit of the year as well. However, the super success of his new film is not the only reason Varun is in happy mode these days. Reportedly, he is soon getting waxed at Madame Tussauds museum of Hong Kong.
Varun Dhawan is the youngest Indian celebrity to have his wax figure at the museum’s Hong Kong outlet where nearly 100 wax figures of internationally known personalities have on display. Varun’s statue will be kept in the ‘World Premiere’ exhibition area there. He is the fourth Indian celebrity to get this honour after Mahatma Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan who recently turned 75-years old.
“A group from the museum’s sculpting team flew to Mumbai to meet the actor and conduct a detailed sitting process. More than 200 measurements were taken. The team also matched the actor’s hair and eye colour for the statue. Varun has been working closely with them and has shared his ideas about the figure’s final look,” a leading daily reported adding Varun Dhawan’s quote who excitedly said, “It was a great experience. I am so excited to get my wax figure in Hong Kong.”
Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction where the waxworks of famous and historic people and also the film characters are exhibited. Its outlets are opened all over the world while the headquarter is located in the UK. Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor have already been waxed at various branches of the museum worldwide.
Varun’s grand red-carpet entry at the museum is expected to be in early 2018 since the whole process of waxing a figure usually takes up to six months.
