Actress Sonam Kapoor tied-the-knot with Anand Ahuja in a Sikh ceremony which took place yesterday morning. As lavish and graceful their wedding was, the reception was just as star-studded (if not more).
Several B’Town Biggies descended on The Leela Hotel, to commemorate the new Mr and Mrs. From Akshay Kumar to the three Khans, the celebrities came decked-up in either in Indian outfits or western formals.
Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor was snapped with Alia Bhatt. The two actors not only working together in Bhramastra, but there have also been rumours about the two dating each other. As both of them posed for the paparazzi together, this only just added more fuel to the fire.
However, if there was one ‘couple’ who made it official, in a way, it was Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal. Varun has always been mum about his relationship status with Natasha. He has claimed that he is not hiding anything and everything is out in the open.
Yesterday evening, though, VD walked in with Dalal for the reception and they looked adorable together. They even posed for the photographs together, clearly confirming their relationship status once again.
As well as alleged new couples gracing their presence, there were also a few ‘ex-beaus’ who was at the reception with their new partners – including Shahid Kapoor (with wife Mira Rajput) and Kareena Kapoor Khan (with Saif Ali Khan and sister Karisma Kapoor).
One would imagine that with several stars under one roof, that too some being exes to each other, it would’ve been quite awkward? But we can tell you that Sonam-Anand’s reception was one helluva party and can you guess who the real party rockers were?
Yes, it was the bride’s happy father Anil Kapoor and the energetic Ranveer Singh!
Not only was Ranveer and Anil grooving to Mika Singh’s singing, but they were also joined by King Khan himself and the trio danced the night away to songs like ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
Talking of King Khan, it was a nostalgic moment when the recreated the Karan Arjun moment by crooning ‘Yeh Bandhan Toh’. Plus, Salman was also on the dance floor as he also performed to tracks like ‘Laila Main Laila’, ‘Tan Tana Tan’ and ‘Oh Oh Jane Jaana’.
When we talk about grooving, movie magnet Karan Johar did not refrain from shaking a leg. KJo took naach to another level by dancing to chartbusters like ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ to ‘Sajjan Ji Ghar Aaye’. We must say, his performance was quite out of this world!
Not only was the occasion enjoyable for Sonam-Anand and the guests, but it was a moment for Arjun and Anshula Kapoor to bond with Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, who lost their mother Sridevi, in February this year.
Overall, it can be said that the night packed with Bollywood, Bonding and Buoyancy was one which will always be remembered for years to come.
