Since last few days, rumours are ripe that Shah Rukh Khan might star in the Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic after he completes the shooting for Anand L Rai’s next untitled movie. The biopic project was earlier supposed to star Aamir Khan but he dropped out of the project recently due to the reasons best-known to him.
According to the Bollywood grapevine, Aamir then went to his good friend Shah Rukh and asked him to consider doing this project as a script worth walking that extra mile for. It was also reported that SRK has agreed to play the astronaut onscreen. However, if a source close to SRK is to be believed, the ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ actor hasn’t signed the biopic yet as reported in media.
“Shah Rukh has lined-up his own magnum opus which will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After ‘Devdas’, they wanted to work together again and have been discussing quite a few projects for last one year. They have finally found an exciting project which they will be diving into next year,” a source revealed.
Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Anand L Rai’s next film while Bhansali is awaiting the release of ‘Padmavati’. They are expected to work on this movie after ‘Padmavati’ is released, possibly in March 2018. The source also revealed that Deepika Padukone might star opposite SRK as the director has apparently spoken to her about it.
