The recently released Hindi film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ has got a terrific response from critics as well as audiences. The lead pair Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda’s performances have been applauded by everyone. At the box office as well, the film is performing amazingly and winning hearts of moviegoers.
And now, we have learnt that the makers of ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ are planning a sequel to this movie. A source close to Vinod Bachchan who produced this engaging romantic drama revealed that he is delighted with the response SMZA has garnered and wants to take the story of Sattu and Aarti forward with a sequel.
“Content which connects with the masses is Vinod Bachchan’s strength. Tanu Weds Manu and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana are both movies that are based in small towns. Both the films are also shot in Uttar Pradesh. The genre of these films is also quite similar. After the success of both films, Vinod is now kicked about making more content rich films as such,” the source said.
Ratna Sinha who directed this film will helm the second part, too. The producer and director are likely to sit with the writers for the discussion soon. If all goes well, the sequel might go on floors in mid-2018.
‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ is a film that deals with two individuals and their journey towards getting married. However, on the night of their marriage, an unexpected turn of events turns their world upside down. Set in the backdrop of India’s civil services, the film explores the challenges that a middle-class couple in India faces.
