After lots of speculations about her launch in films, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan is finally making her debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’. She will be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput who is collaborating with the director for the second time after his debut movie, ‘Kai Po Che!’.
Given that it’s Sara’s first film, it has been garnering a lot of engrossment. Industry people who know her personally are hopeful that the intelligent, well-read and educated girl will make her mark in Bollywood in very short time. Sara has also balled over the makers with her charm and ungoverned endowment.
Ever since the movie went on floors last month, Sara was talking about her look to everyone. And now, we have her exclusive first look stills from the movie. Riding on a horseback holding a colorful umbrella, Sara looks very pretty in the picture. The actress who plays a priest’s daughter in the film looks worried about something though, which reminds us of young Amrita Singh from ‘Betaab’.
The first a month-long schedule of ‘Kedarnath’ was recently wrapped in the mountainous, temple city of Uttarakhand. Sharing the experience of shooting in Kedarnath, Abhishek said: “It has been an incredible and exhausting schedule. It’s not easy shooting in the mountains of Kedarnath, especially when it’s on a yatra. Thankfully, the mountain god blessed us and we completed the first schedule as planned.”
“We’ve shot a part of Kedarnath in the Triyuginarayan Temple or the Akhand Dhuni Temple, where Lord Shiva is said to have married Devi Parvati. Could divine intervention get any better?,” said Arjun N Kapoor from KriArj Entertainment who is collaborating with T-Series, Balaji Motion Pictures and Guy In The Sky Pictures Production on the project. “Working with Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) and his wife Pragya Kapoor has been a wholesome experience. They are thorough professionals. Together, we pride ourselves in mentoring Sara.”
‘Kedarnath’ is about a romance between a Hindu girl (played by Sara) and a Muslim tour guide (played by Sushant) who helps pilgrims up to the holy Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand. Their relationship is frowned upon by local priests who reportedly tell the couple that they have brought shame upon the temple, and when the floods of 2013 happen, they blame it on their union. But in the film’s second half, Sushant’s character redeems himself as he spearheads a rescue mission to help pilgrims and locals who’re hanging on for dear life as everything around them is washed away.
The movie which has been planned to be shot at fresh locations in a grand way is scheduled to release next year.
