Bollywood actors Sanjay Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit Nene, one of the most loved onscreen couples of the 90s, will soon be seen together again. However, it won’t be on the silver screens this time. They will be sharing screen space together in a Television show called ‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’ which has Sanjay playing the lead character who romances a girl significantly younger than him.
Madhuri will reportedly make a special appearance in this Vikram Bhatt’s show. Sanjay and Madhuri will be seen shaking their legs on the tune of their 1995-film ‘Raja’s popular song “Akhiyan Milaoon Kabhi Akhiyan Churaoon” in the special episode. This song which was originally rendered by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan in the composition of Nadeem-Shravan, has been reprised for Sanjay’s show, given that it’s his favourite song.
“The upcoming episodes of the show will focus on the nuptials of Kapoor’s character with his love interest. Nene will feature as Kapoor’s old friend, who turns up to be part of the wedding festivities. She will shake a leg with him during the sangeet ceremony,” Mid-Day reported.
Sanjay is excited to dance with Dhak-Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit after two decades the original song released. “It’s special for me. People still remember the song and its steps. It will be a nostalgic moment for me to recreate the song with Madhuri on TV,” he said.
Madhuri has reportedly already begun rehearsing and will shoot the sequence in coming few days. The episode that will see Sanjay and Madhuri reuniting for the song will air later this month.
