Salman Khan is all set to take up the role of Inspector Chulbul Pandey, which is amongst his most beloved characters. This time, Dabangg 3 will be helmed by Prabhudheva and is inspired by a real-life cop from Noida.

The movie will be shot in the NCR, which will be the first time where the Dabangg franchise is shot in North India. A source revealed to an Indian daily, “The idea is to make Dabangg 3 more realistic and take it a few notches above the previous installments in every possible way.

Since the story is based on a real cop, the film’s makers felt that shooting in a North Indian city like Ghaziabad would add to the storytelling.

Moreover, the city is being treated as a character in the movie. While the previous films in the franchise have been shot in Wai, shooting in Ghaziabad will also give the third outing a different and fresh look.”

Moreover, once Salman completed shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat till August-end, the actor will kickstart shooting for Dabangg 3 as the movie goes on floors on September 16, this year.

Meanwhile, Sonakshi will be reprising her role as Rajjo. Dabangg 3 may also mark ace filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Ashwami Manjrekar’s Bollywood debut.

When it comes to the villain, the makers are looking towards casting a fresh face though reports suggest that Salman’s Race 3 co-star Saqib Saleem is being considered.

Dabangg 3 is slated for a release towards the end of 2019.
