The conjectures of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone getting hitched have been orbiting for a while now.
The two actors, whom we have loved for many years on-screen as Ram-Leela and Bajirao Matani (to name a few), have always addressed one another as someone ‘special’ in their lives. Recently in a media interview, Deepika Padukone opened-up on her marriage plans and stated:
“When it is time, I’ll know that it is the right time. I think as an institution, it is extremely important. That’s the way I have been brought up. It is extremely important for me to see myself like that. It is every girl’s dream. I have always followed my instinct and I know that I will feel it when I am ready and when it’s meant to happen.”
Soon after, a close source had stated, “It will be an extremely private, traditional Hindu ceremony with the couple tying the knot in the presence of only close friends and family. The couple is still deciding if they want a reception to follow.”
Now, Ranveer himself has broken silence on the marriage rumours. In an interview with a leading daily, Ranveer was asked to respond to the rumours of the wedding which are quite active on social media. Responding to this, the Gully Boy actor said:
“It is the function of speculation – to exist. Nothing is official till it is made official and I am not a seer. I cannot say this will happen on this date in the future. Right now we are both extremely busy working. Besides, she is also recuperating from back problems. So we are quite occupied and distracted.
So, if there is an announcement in the future, you will be hearing me shouting from the rooftops. When it is time, I think I will know it. But as an institution, I think it is extremely important because that’s the way I have been raised. It is extremely important for me to see myself like that. It is every girl’s dream. I have always followed my instincts and I think I will feel it when I am ready or when it has to happen.”
