The rumours about Sonam and Kareena being rivals are not even remotely true. Sonam Kapoor has quashed the rumours of a fight with her Veere Di Wedding co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan and claims that they have a special WhatsApp group entirely dedicated to them.

In a conversation with an Indian tabloid, Sonam said: “There’s no rivalry between us. In fact, Bebo, me, Rhea and Lolo have a WhatsApp group, called The Kapoor Girls. We post each other’s yesteryear pictures on it.”

She further said that they have proved that “women can work with each other and get along.”

Sonam and Kareena are mostly hand-in-hand during Veere Di Wedding promotions. Talking at the film’s trailer launch earlier this month, Sonam had revealed her equations with her co-stars.

She said, “I’m working with friends, so chemistry was not hard to achieve. Kareena is my favourite hero to work with. People expect women to pull other women down. What’s amazing is to bond together and rule the world.”

The film, which was earlier reported to be Bollywood’s first ‘chick-flick’, has now been branded as ‘Not A Chick Flick.’

Commenting on the term, Sonam said: “It’s so bad. There’s no such thing as chick flicks. Do you call a hero’s film a stud film? No, right? It’s so tacky.”

Veere Di Wedding is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. It releases on June 1.

Interestingly, the film will clash with Bhavesh Joshi Superhero at the box office, which stars Sonam’s brother Harshvardhan Kapoor in the lead role.
