Madhuri Dixit-Nene has a busy year ahead. Her Marathi acting debut Bucket List released last week and now, she is all set to produce a film in her mother-tongue, titled 15th August. On the Bollywood front, she also has two big movies lined up — Abhishek Varman’s Kalank and Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal.

A source close to the actress tells us that Mads is also looking at producing Hindi films next. “15th August will be Madhuri’s first experience as a producer.

She’s testing the waters now and right after this film hits screens, she will be locking a Hindi project under her banner,” a source tells DNA, adding, “She has already started discussing it with her team.”

Madhuri will be next seen in the Dharma Productions venture, Kalank. The first pictures of her look surfaced online today. Madhuri has earlier said in an interview, “I was fortunate enough to play a various character from the beginning of my career.

So whether it is Tezaab, Dil or Beta… my character has her own mind. In today’s writing, women are treated on a cerebral level. Characters are close to reality.” And with Kalank, she gets to add another kind of role to her kitty.

According to reports, Madhuri Dixit will be playing a courtesan in the movie, which is a period drama. Reports also suggested that she will play Alia’s dance teacher.

There has been no official announcement about the same yet, but we are already stoked to learn what Madhuri’s character in Kalank is all about.
