It seems Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment is immensely impressed with Shree Narayan Singh. Her production house is already doing the second movie with the filmmaker after the box office success of their first collaboration, ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’. And now, if the latest report is to be believed, KriArj Entertainment and Shree Narayan Singh are collaborating on yet another project even before their second film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ goes on floors in January.
According to Spotboye, KriArj Entertainment and Singh have teamed up for a women-centric movie. However, this time Singh won’t be directing the film. Instead, he has collaborated to co-produce a movie with them under his banner Mukambika Pictures.
The women-centric drama has reportedly been titled ‘Jasmine: Story Of A Leased Womb’ and is based on a social issue. The movie is said to have an author-backed role for its female protagonist. Singh confirmed the news to the website and said, “Jasmine is the journey of a girl to motherhood, of eternal love between a mother and a child. I have always wanted to work on women-centric film and I’m able to do so.”
The makers have reportedly roped in a debutant director to helm this project. They are currently finalizing the lead actors for the film and once everything is settled they will make an official announcement.
“The concept of Jasmine was pitched by writers Siddharth and Garima after 3 years of research. Shree and Prerna instantly liked it, and the script is ready to roll now. We hear that the makers are looking at an early 2018 start for Jasmine,” Spotboye reported.
