Kajol never stops impressing us. We last saw the talented actress in the Tamil movie Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (VIP 2) with Dhanush. As for Bollywood, we last saw her in Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Currently, the actress is busy with shooting Eela, which is being directed by Pradeep Sarkar, written by Mitesh Shah and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada.

Eela is is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play, Beta Kaagdo. In the movie, Kajol will be seen playing the role of a single parent and the story will revolve around the relationship shared by a mother and son.

Now, the release date of Eela has been announced. The movie is slated to release on September 14, 2018.

Earlier, talking about Eela, Kajol told a leading daily, “I liked the script honestly, liked the lines, everything. I like my character of Ela (a single mother), I identify with many of her things.”

Speaking of Eela, Pradeep said to a leading tabloid, “I was offered the script around four months ago. It took me a while to understand the Gujarati tone but eventually, I fell in love with this extremely emotional story which boasts of some really strong characters and there’s a chance of people getting really close to them.”

“I am getting involved in the dialogue and character-building as there are a few insights that I want to incorporate to make the film more endearing. This is not like Parineeta, where everything was detailed, this is more free-flowing, a character and music driven film,” the filmmaker continued.
