The recently released teaser of John Abraham’s ‘Rocky Handsome’ is getting humongous response from critics, celebrities as well as audiences. The earlier released stills and posters and now the exciting teaser has created a lot of frenzy among moviegoers. The one minute twenty-six second teaser shows John’s deadly action sequences and a sneak pic to his emotional bond he shares with an eight-years-old cute girl.

rocky handsomeAlthough the film is touted to be an action packed movie with lots of never-seen-before Hollywood-par action sequences, John who plays the title role, says it is more an emotional film.

“It’s more an emotional film than an action film. Rocky Handsome has got more heart and soul than six-pack abs and punches. It has got beautiful emotional story intertwined. It’s about a little girl who I rescue and our journey together,” John said.

“It is one of the most special film of my career. This is one film I can proudly show to my grandchildren. I am extremely proud of Rocky Handsome,” John added.

John and the little girl’s chemistry sounds familiar to Salman Khan’s last year release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ where a child artist Harshali Malhotra played a lead protagonist. Their amazing bond won everyone’s hearts and the film was the biggest success of 2015 at box office. Talking about the similarity to that film, John said, “It is similar to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in terms of emotional content and I am sure people will love this film as well. It will make people cry. And like Harshali, I am sure the little kid in our film too will win everyone’s hearts. She is the main heroine of the film.”

John Abraham plays the character of Kabir Ahlawat (who is known as Rocky to his foes and Handsome to his friends) who sets out to take vengeance against drug mafia after they take away the little girl, played by Diya Chalwad, with whom he shares a special bond. The actor has worked really hard in getting the body and trained heavily in several martial arts forms for the film which clearly shows in the short teaser.

Loosely based on the 2010 Korean film ‘The Man from Nowhere’, the film is directed by Nishikant Kamat and produced by John Abraham Entertainment and Sunir Khetrapal’s Azure Entertainment. The film which also stars Shruti Haasan as John’s love interest, is slated for the release on March 25, 2016.
