After a 10 years hiatus, this year’s International Indian Film Academy Awards aka IIFA is set to take place in Bangkok.
It is scheduled to be held for three days: from 22nd June to 24th June at the Siam Niramit Theatre.
Speaking about this year’s programme, Andre Timmins, Director of Wizcraft International, the producers and creators of the IIFA movement said:
“We are excited to offer a rich spectrum of nominees in the popular categories that reflect the talent our Indian cinema has to offer to global fans.”
Here is the list of nominations:
Best Picture: Newton, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Bareily ki Barfi, Hindi Medium, Tumhari Sulu.
Best Director: Saket Chaudhary – Hindi Medium, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari – Bareilly Ki Barfi, Suresh Triveni – Tumhari Sulu, Amit V Masurkar – Newton, Anurag Basu – Jagga Jasoos.
Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female): Vidya Balan – Tumhari Sulu, Bhumi Pednekar – Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Alia Bhatt – Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Zaira Wasim – Secret Superstar, Late Sridevi – Mom.
Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male): Akshay Kumar – Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Rajkummar Rao – Newton, Ranbir Kapoor – Jagga Jasoos, Irrfan Khan – Hindi Medium, Adil Hussain – Mukti Bhawan.
Best Actor In Supporting Role (Female): Neha Dhupia – Tumhari Sulu, Tabu – Golmaal Again, Meher Vij – Secret Superstar, Seema Pahwa – Bareilly Ki Barfi, Seema Pahwa – Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
Best Actor In Supporting Role (Male): Vijay Maurya – Tumhari Sulu, Deepak Dobriyal – Hindi Medium, Nawazzuddin Siddiqui – Mom, Rajkummar Rao – Bareilly Ki Barfi, Pankaj Tripathi – Newton.
Best Story: Amit V Masurkar – Newton, Siddharth-Garima – Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Suresh Triveni – Tumhari Sulu.
Music Direction: Santanu Ghatak – Tumhari Sulu, Guru Randhawa – Rajat Nagpal, Amartya Rahut, Amaal Mallik, Tanishk Bagchi and Akhil Sachdeva – Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Pritam – Jagga Jasoos, Tanishk Bagchi.
