House will be full of joy in Diwali 2019 as one of the most loved franchises of India, ‘Housefull’ will bring its fourth instalment on the “Festival of Lights”. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced ‘Golmaal 4’ today setting Diwali 2019 as the release date.

Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala

Sajid Khan who helmed the first two ‘Housefull’ movies but skipped the third due to unspecified differences with Sajid Nadiadwala, the chief of NGE, will return to the franchise with this film. Announcing the film, the Mumbai-based production house stated on Twitter, “Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s HOUSE is FULL of joy as we announce our next film. SAJID NADIADWALA brings back your favourite HOUSEFULL gang on DIWALI 2019! The FOURTH installment of the Franchise, themed on Reincarnation, will be directed by SAJID KHAN. Cast to be announced soon. Stay tuned!”

‘Housefull 4’ will revolve around the theme of reincarnation. Although reincarnation-themed movies is an old tradition in Indian films, it hasn’t been seen explored much in the comedy genre. SS Rajamouli’s Tamil fantasy-comedy ‘Eega’ was based on the similar theme but that was more about a housefly-cleverly-revenging-his-killer. With this novel story, ‘Housefull 4’ is expected to be bigger, funnier and will give a completely new look to this comic capper franchise.

Sajid Khan confirmed: “Housefull is a franchise of fun and 4th will be the biggest Housefull that we have made till now. I am happy to be back with Sajid Khan who directed the first two parts of the film. We have a funny thematic twist in the fourth part as the plot is that of reincarnation. We have big production plans for the movie and that’s why we think that we would need all this time to make it the event film of 2019.”

Although we are not sure about it, we have heard that a dozen of this film’s characters will be seen in twin roles. They all will reportedly have their original and reincarnated versions. If it’s true it would be probably the first time that a movie will have its pivotal characters in twin roles in such a huge number.

However, the cast has yet not been officially announced. Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh who have been parts of all ‘Housefull’ movies are said to retain from the primary star cast but there is no confirmation about it yet. “Newer stars and character actors will also join the cast of the movie, which will be shot at an array of stunning locations — from a palace overlooking the Himalayan ranges to a modern-day mansion overlooking the Thames,” a leading daily reported.

The film will go on floors by the end of next year.
