Deepika Padukone latest Bollywood star to get wax statue at Madame Tussauds London

Deepika Padukone has become the latest B-Town celeb to be immortalised in wax for the prestigious Madame Tussauds museum in London.

She follows fellow Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit to get a wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum in London.

In a video on facebook she said:

“It’s fun, exciting and in a way, I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it,” Deepika said in the announcement video.

She said that the only time she’d visited the museum was in London, with her parents when she was a child. To get the call to have her own statue exhibited made her “Very, very excited.”

Deepika is currently in London getting her measurements taken for the process.
