The first trailer for Supernova has been released, a touching yet emotional story about a couple who have been together for 20 years. It is set to be a perfect film just in time for autumn.
Firth plays character Sam and Tucci as Tusker, the married couple begin a scenic trip travelling in their old campervan across England to visit family, friends and see places from their past.
As the trailer continues you see an emotional moment between Sam and Tusker as they reveal Tusker has young on-set dementia, as it unravels it shows the bittersweet relationship between them with their family and friends as it causes a shock for them all followed by sadness.
While Sam and Tusker’s relationship is put to the test, with secrets exposed and emotions running high. The ultimate question heavily weighs upon them both, how will the couple get through this heart-breaking situation?
Supernova has been written and directed by Harry Macqueen (Hinterland), and from the award-winning producers of 45 Years and I Am Not A Witch.
Supernova will premiere at The BFI London Film Festival on Sunday 11 October.
