Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran has been in the news, but for the wrong reasons altogether as there has been a series of accusations hurled between John Abraham (of JA Entertainment) and Prernaa Arora (of KriArj Entertainment). Plus, the movie itself landed in a financial and legal soup.

However, we can tell you that the film will see the light of day and will finally release on 25th May.

In a hearing which was scheduled for today, the producer and distributors of the film have filed a new set of consent terms and agreed to abide by them for a smooth release.

The hearing in the High Court this evening saw all the parties, except KriArj Entertainment, file new consent terms together

John Abraham and Prernaa Arora, of JA Entertainment and KriArj Entertainment respectively, had entered into an agreement in which John’s company had been tasked to line produce Parmanu… for Rs 35 crore.

However, towards the end of the journey, Prernaa defaulted on payments, forcing John’s team to present a public notice at the end of March this year, severing ties with her company.

Eventually, on 20th April, consent terms for the final leg of payments were signed in the Bombay High Court with Zee Studios, Pooja Entertainment, KriArj Entertainment and JA Entertainment. Prernaa defaulted on this, too, which forced John’s team to move court again.

In a span of three extensive hearings in Justice Kathawalla’s court, the matters have now been settled.

As reported by a leading Indian daily, the final hearing in the matter due on May 10 concluded at 9.30 pm with all parties forming a new set of terms, leaving KriArj Entertainment out of the picture.

With regards to KriArj, it has been reported that all their moveable and immovable properties will be seized by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch as part of the investigation and criminal proceedings against Bollywood’s mercurial but tainted producer duo.

Also, it is believed that the court’s direction to Prerna, Arjun and her mother not to leave the country until May 22. Therefore, further updates to be followed.

Stay tuned for the Parmanu trailer tomorrow, whilst the film itself releases on 25th May!
