It’s known to all that ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ sequel is in making. The film was officially announced last month with Diana Penty, Sonakshi Sinha and Jassi Gill leading the cast along with Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Piyush Mishra who have been retained from the first part.
Now, after Sonakshi and Jassi, one more new actor has joined the film. Aparshakti Khurrana who was last seen in Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has also been roped in to play a pivotal role in ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi Returns’. After ‘Dangal’s success, Aparshakti is on cloud nine and getting lots of interesting offers. He already has Leena Yadav’s ‘Rajma Chawal’ alongside Rishi Kapoor in his hands.
However, if a news in a leading daily is to be believed, Aparshakti was not the first choice for ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi Returns’. Apparently, his brother Ayushmann Khurrana who is riding high after the back-to-back successes this year was first approached for this role, but he had to decline the offer citing date issues. Ayushmann, we heard, has three interesting projects lined-up with amazing directors and that are expected to be announced very soon.
‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ which narrated the story of a girl named Happy, was based in Pakistan while the sequel is supposed to be based in China. ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi Returns’ is expected to have more humour and fun compared to the original drama. The film has already gone on floors.
