For last few days, speculations are ripe that Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli are getting married in Italy. Although the news about them getting hitched have surfaced in past too and have been proven false several times, the stories this time seems to carry more weight with a higher probability of turning it out to be true.
According to Indian media, Anushka left for Italy from Mumbai on Thursday night with her family, while Virat also left for the same destination last night. Although the spokesperson of Anushka has denied the news and Virat’s spokesperson has been tight-lipped on the issue, rumours continue to mount on their wedding. According to reports, the pre-wedding celebrations will start in Tuscany from Saturday while the actual wedding will take place on December 12 at an uber luxurious hotel in Milan.
The speculated wedding ceremony has reportedly been kept a low-key affair. Only close friends and family of the couple have been invited. “Not many people have been invited, as it is a really small function. Just close ones are invited, Virat’s childhood friends and few of our family members. From cricket fraternity, only Sachin and Yuvraj will be seen, if they make it to the wedding. And of course, Virat’s coach Rajkumar Sharma who once taught him. There were others too but they can’t make it for the day,” a source close to Kohli was quoted as saying by an entertainment portal.
If reports are to be believed, Anushka’s family guru, Maharaj Anant Baba, too, have left for Italy for their wedding. “Everything was decided almost 3-4 months ago. The priest picked up the December wedding and they wanted to keep it low key. Both the families sat together and laid down the plan of how they want to do it,” a source revealed.
Talks have also surfaced that the couple will be throwing a wedding reception in Mumbai once they return from Italy. They have reportedly booked a SoBo five-star hotel for their reception on December 21. Anushka’s colleagues from the film industry as well as the entire cricketing fraternity are expected to attend this grand reception ceremony.
