The world is breathlessly awaiting Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer ‘2.0’ which is set for release in January next year. The hype for this movie is unbelievably amazing and the recently released two making videos of the film has just doubled the frenzy. Now, the makers are gearing up to add more grandness to this magnum opus.
‘2.0’ will have a robotic dance number in the film which is touted to be one of the most expensive and biggest tracks ever. Filmmaker Shankar is known for showing ambitious sets and scale in his songs and this one, considering the hype and hullabaloo for the film, is going to be out of the world.
The shooting for the song featuring Rajinikanth and Amy will begin on Wednesday, 11th October, in Chennai and will be shot in over 10 days. Bosco Martis will be choreographing this A.R. Rahman composition which has lots of dancing and romance. A huge set has been erected for the same.
For the song, Amy was asked to allot 10 days for rehearsal and to also work on her body as the song required her in a great shape. “Apart from the 12-day song shoot, I have been told to block at least 10 days for rehearsals. Shankar works like that, so for the song, you have to block the whole month. But then, the results are always fabulous. From past experiences on I (Shankar’s film), the song Ennodu Nee Irundhal, took us 14 days to film,” she had told a few weeks back.
Now, the actress who has been rigorously training in Chennai over the last few weeks is all ready and excited to shoot the much-hyped song with Rajinikanth. “I am attempting robotic pop for the first time. Rajini sir had done some similar in Robot (2010). He is a genius, so I am sure he will handle it. But it’s a new form for me,” she said excitedly.
Both Rajinikanth and Amy will be doing quick steps in the track which has fast-paced beats. Michael Jackson’s dubstep and robot dance are being used as references for it.
