Over the weekend, Akshay Kumar wrapped up a schedule of his next, Kesari, in the Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh.

Despite the high-altitude of the location, the weather was rather hot and shooting in that temperature took a toll on the superstar. By the end of the spell, he got sunburnt, claims a source.

According to an Indian daily, the Pad Man actor also got a tan as a result of the outdoor shoot.

Kumar, who returned to Mumbai yesterday, has a couple of shoots lined up for some brands this week and will sport a tanned look in them.

Meanwhile, the pending portion of Kesari, that is based on the historic Battle Of Saragarhi, was called off after a fire gutted the set in Wai.

This portion will be scheduled post monsoon when the set will be built anew.

Akshay Kumar began shooting for this ambitious historical project early this year earlier, where he revealed the first look of his character from the film.

While sharing the picture, the actor captioned it saying, “Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always ???????? “

Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra. The film will hit the screens on Holi 2019.
