The Hindi remake of the Marathi flick Apla Manus has been doing its rounds in the media for quite some time now. Ashutosh Gowariker has decided to come on board as a producer for the Hindi version.
It was earlier reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan was in talks for the leading role, but it seems that things didn’t materialise with her.
Says a source, “The modalities didn’t work out and Kareena is already committed to Raj Mehta’s next, with Akshay Kumar. So she also didn’t have the dates.”
The same source adds, “Now, the film’s makers are looking to cast Sonakshi Sinha for that role. Their talks with the actress are in the advanced stages and in all probability, things will be worked out and she will sign up for it.”
Well, Bebo’s loss has become Sona’s gain.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi has begun shooting for Karan Johar’s magnum-opus ensemble starrer, Kalank. An insider reveals:
“Kalank has garnered immense audience interest for its astounding star cast. Sonakshi, who will be the latest to join in, shooting for Kalank in the suburbs of Mumbai from June 13.
Sonakshi has recently wrapped up the shoot for Aanand L Rai produced Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi and is also amidst rehearsals for the Dabbang Tour. She will shoot for her portion of Kalank through the Mumbai schedule at an elaborate set constructed in Andheri.
While not much can be revealed about her role and her look, one can definitely expect Sonakshi to be seen donning an entirely different look altogether unlike any of her previous cinematic outings.”
It seems like Sonakshi has a busy schedule ahead of her!
