The 2002 hit film, Aankhen is all set to return with its sequel titled Aankhen 2. The sequel was in talks for a long time, but due to some legal troubles, the making of the film kept getting delayed.

However, things seem to have fallen back in their proper places, and the casting for the film has already begun.

The first part starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen in the lead roles. Reports have it, that Big B will be a part of the sequel too. However, the other actors are yet to be finalised.

A source told the media, “Talks with Sushant Singh Rajput and Kartik Aaryan are in the final stages. The rest of the names will be in place soon as well.” He said that Bachchan’s character drives the sequel, so there’s no way he won’t be a part of it.

Interestingly, the sequel was supposed to come back long before in 2016 and was to be produced by Gaurang Doshi, who had produced the first part. The star cast was decided as Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arjun, Arshad Warsi and south actress Regina Cassandra.

However, the film got entangled in a legal battle and the sequel got delayed. The legal battle ended in March last year when the High Court reportedly knocked the producer for not following its order. He was also stripped off of all the rights to make the sequel of the film.

The film will be now produced by RajTaru Studios.
