Earlier, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar will be stepping into the shoes of the late music mogul and founder of T-series, Gulshan Kumar in the upcoming film titled Mogul.

However, the Khiladi later opted out of the film and even returned the signing amount. Now, new reports suggest that Aamir Khan has been approached for the role of Gulshan Kumar.

A source told a leading daily: ”Aamir is known to be a perfectionist, and takes his own time to choose films. He was approached for Mogul, and in turn, the actor asked the filmmakers to work around a few changes in the script. The makers have been meeting up with Aamir constantly with fresh changes, and Aamir has liked it. He might now act in it.”

Previously, there were also speculations that Aamir could co-produce Mogul. Another source had told a leading daily, “Aamir will produce this biopic, which itself is an important development. Whether he will play the lead is not yet decided. No other details are known as of now.”

Currently, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Aamir Khan is also keen on making Mahabharata for the big screen and touts it as his most ambitious project.

Talking about it, the superstar earlier stated to a leading magazine, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life.”

However, recently that actor is believed to be Aamir Khan is apparently “seriously reconsidering” his decision to adapt the Mahabharata on the big screen because “doing history or mythology has become very, very tricky,” says a source told another media outlet.

Mentioning the example of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, the source also said: “Aamir Khan is weighing the pros and cons of doing the Mahabharata knowing he’s bound to land up in trouble with fringe groups protesting left, right and centre. Aamir may drop his plans of doing the Mahabharata for now.”
