The stunning and very talented Alyssia shot to fame with a host of hits in the noughties and now she’s back with a brand new album ‘Heart Beatz’.
The first track from the long-awaited album is ‘Kyun Mera’ which sees Alyssia return in great form, showcasing her stunning vocals and combining beautiful lyrics with a catchy melody.
After making her debut in 2000 with a string of both Hindi and South Indian film hits including Ishq Hua, Mujhe Kuch Tumse Hai Kehna, Inde Siripinai and Vaishnavo Janato from the movie ‘Hey Ram’, Alyssia released her first album ‘Mehndi’ with HMV. The album’s success took Alyssia across the whole of India, performing at sell-out concerts.
Alyssia went on to sign up with some producers in the UK to release her self-titled second album ‘Alyssia’ which delivered three incredible tracks – Deewana, Tera Pyar and Pyar Hogaya, all of which hit the coveted No.1 spot in Asian music charts across the UK and Europe.
Alyssia’s popularity continued to grow with the release of three further singles, Aag, Meri Jaan and Rab Rakha and became a turning point in Alyssia’s career.
In 2013, she felt it was time to add a new string to her bow and take the natural next step by composing her own songs.
The result of three years of hard work and an exciting network of collaborators and producers supporting her is a very personal album Heart Beatz. The seven-track album showcases Alyssia’s range and her desire to try her hand at different genres that she loves – from drum & bass to dance.
Alyssia has written four of the tracks and jointly composed the fifth. The remaining two tracks have been created by music maestro Prem Joseph who is well known for his international collaborations.
She says of the final product: “This album has been a true labour of love and a very exciting journey of discovery for me. Writing lyrics and composing music has been such a great experience and I loved every minute of it.
Fans of the original Alyssia will not be disappointed – I have stayed true to my roots with a lot of the tracks, but I also wanted to experiment and reach out to fans of other genres of music. I hope they enjoy listening to the album as much as I enjoyed creating it.”
The accompanying video for ‘Kyun Mera’ will be released shortly.
The first track Kyun Mera releases on the 14th June 2018 via iTunes, Amazon and all other digital stores.
