The success of both Baahubali films was sensational. After the magnanimous triumph of both the films, there were speculations about it getting a web series.

According to a report in an Indian tabloid, the producers of the movie Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are trying to crack a deal with Netflix to create a web series on Sivagami. The character is essayed by Ramya Krishna in the movies.

A source informed the daily about the same, “It will be a multi-lingual web series and the first season will have 10 episodes. Gurmeet Singh, who was the associate producer on Inside Edge, will helm the project.”

He further added, “Since the web series focuses on Sivagami’s early years, it remains unclear if the character will be played by Ramya. But she may have a cameo appearance.”

The web series, that is set to start its shoot in August, will be filmed in a lavish set being built at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and will be a 10 episode series in its first season.

Baahubali (both) directed by SS Rajamouli, starred Prabhas in the title role with Anushka Shetty, Tammannah, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nasser and Ramya Krishnan playing pivotal roles.

Director Rajamouli said on several occasions that the world of Baahubali will never come to an end. The franchise was produced by Arka Media Works on a budget of Rs. 450 crores. Released in several languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, etc., the film went on to collect over Rs. 1600 crores at the box office.
