Gwyneth Paltrow: “Brad Pitt threatened TO KILL Harvey Weinstein”

BY ANUJ RADIA

The news of Harvey Weinstein sexually harassing several Hollywood actresses was undoubtedly a huge expose. But alongside this scandal being shocking, it is also quite scary for us to imagine how the victims felt.

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed last year that she was assaulted by Weinstein during the early stages of her career.

The Iron Man actress has finally broken her silence on what happened the night Pitt confronted Weinstein in 1995, during a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

Paltrow and Pitt were at the opening night of Hamlet on Broadway when Pitt saw Weinstein and decided to give him the warning to stay away from his girlfriend.

Paltrow said in the interview that it was like Pitt throwing Weinstein against a wall. “If you make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you or something like that,” she claims Pitt said to Weinstein.

“It was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall,” Paltrow said. “It was so fantastic because what he did was, he leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet,” she said about Pitt coming to her rescue.

When the interviewer said he loved Pitt for what he did, Paltrow said ‘he is the best’ and that she too loves him for it.

Paltrow, along with other big Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie, revealed to The New York Times in October 2017 how Weinstein would sexually harass them. She had signed two movies with him when he invited her to his suite at a hotel for a meeting.

However, he instead placed his hand on hers and suggested they gave each other massages. “I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she told Jodi Kantor and Rachel Abrams of The New York Times, who won the Pulitzer Prize for their report and launching a revolution against sexual harassment in Hollywood.

In an unprecedented domino effect, as many as 70 women — including Ashley Judd, Cara Delevingne, Kate Beckinsale and more, accused Weinstein of sexual harassment and rape. He has denied all accusations of non-consensual sex.
