Salman Khan has a history of physical transformation for his movies. The actor had gained weight for his character in ‘Sultan’ last year as the role demanded him to be shown as bulky in few sequences. After the film release, he lost some weight for Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ but he hadn’t come back completely in shape. Ali Abbas Zafar’s ”Tiger Zinda Hai’ required Salman to look super fit as he portrays an Indian spy and the Bollywood superstar didn’t disappoint. The Indian heartthrob who usually weighs around 83 to 84 kg reportedly lost 17 kg to fit into his RAW agent avatar in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
And now, we have learnt that Salman Khan will lose even more weight for his yet-another upcoming action movie, ‘Race 3’. According to reports, the ‘Kick’ actor will be going through a physical transformation once again as his new role requires him in a leaner physique.
“Yes, Salman will be losing at least 7-8kg. For the same purpose, the actor has made changes in his diet regimen to shed weight and acquire a lean physique. There have also been a number of changes in his workout regimen to meet the weight requirements,” a source close to the project revealed to a leading daily.
The source also added that it was Salman himself who suggested the filmmakers about his leaner look requirement. Since the film is an edgy and stylish and contains high-octane, stylised action sequences, the actor felt his leaner look will go best with his new character.
Salman’s ‘Race 3’ is currently being shot in Mumbai. Directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Ramesh Taurani, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala. Eid 2018 is the scheduled date for its release.
