Now, if a report in an Indian daily is to be believed, Sara Ali Khan has been paid quite a decent amount for her first film, ‘Kedarnath’. She has reportedly been paid INR 25 Lacs by the makers. Considering the amount newcomers are usually paid for their debut film in India, Sara’s this price is quite high and sets a benchmark for other soon-to-be-launched.

When contacted Prerna Arora who is producing this film under KriArj Entertainment, she neither confirmed the news or nor denied it. “It’s not like that we will not pay a newcomer only because we are launching them. We have even Deepika Padukone. Her price for the Vishal Bhardwaj film and same is the case with other artists, too,” Prerna said adding that Sara deserves the high amount as she is very passionate about her work and very professional.

“Abhishek Kapoor had already decided on her fees and we were fine with it. We didn’t even sign three-film contract which is normally done for newcomers. Besides Sara has no star tantrums and never has anyone from her family including Amrita Singh called me or asked anything,” Prerna added.

‘Kedarnath’ which is about a romance between a Hindu girl (played by Sara) and a Muslim tour guide (played by Sushant) who helps pilgrims up to the holy Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand, is scheduled to release on 21st December 2018.
