Prakash Jha to play Diljit Dosanjh’s coach in Flicker Singh

Filmmaker Shaad Alii’s next project which a biopic of the ex-Indian hockey team captain Sandeep Singh is currently being shot in Punjab. We heard the film is shaping very well and Shaad is quite happy with Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu who are playing hockey players in the movie.

Diljit is playing Sandeep in this biopic drama while Taapsee will be seen as his love interest who helps him to achieve his dream and go on to lead the country. Angad Bedi who recently wrapped Salman Khan’s upcoming ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ also stars in this film as Sandeep’s brother, Bikramjeet Singh, a field hockey player himself.

Now, we have heard that director Prakash Jha has also joined the cast of this biopic, titled ‘Flicker Singh’. A source close to the project informed us that Prakash has come on board to play the role of a coach of Sandeep Singh. His character is said to be crucial to the film and will display an emotional relationship between him and Diljit. Prakash is expected to join the sets in its next schedule next month.

Produced by Chitrangda Singh and Sneha Rajani, ‘Flicker Singh’ is said to be a romantic journey of loss and love, dreams and hope.
