Music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were signed in to compose music for Yash Raj Film’s next Diwali biggie, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. But now we have come to know that the trio has opted out of the project due to creative differences.
According to sources, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy had already recorded songs for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ and the makers were also happy with the music. They had even moved to their next projects but then the makers asked them to rework the score. The makers introduced a few changes in the script due to which the earlier recorded compositions were not matching and they wanted fresh music. But the music composers didn’t have enough time to rework the songs so they decided to opt out of the movie.
“Yes, we were supposed to be a part of the project. But then there were a few changes in the script and which is why even the situations changed. We did not have enough time to make those amendments and thus we had to leave the project,” Ehsaan Noorani from the duo confirmed.
After Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s exit, music composer duo Ajay-Atul have come on board to score the music for the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer historical drama. However, it was the trio themselves who recommended Ajay-Atul’s name as their replacement. Ajay-Atul have earlier worked on movies like ‘Sairat’, ‘Brothers’ and ‘Agneepath’.
‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is set in 1832 in India and chronicles the thug culture that existed during the pre-independence era. It is said to be an action adventure with the right dose of romance and emotions. Directed by ‘Dhoom 3’ fame Vijay Krishna Acharya, the movie is scheduled to release next year during Diwali weekend.
